In alignment with Canon\u2019s future of the planet pillar, Canon had launched its sustainability themed \u2018Moments that Matter\u2019 competition last year, aimed at engaging people and influencing sustainable development through visual storytelling at Expo 2020 Dubai<\/p>\n

VIEW AND VOTE: THE PROCESS<\/strong>
\n\u2022 Thirty shortlisted entries from the competition are now on display for the general public to view and vote in order to select one lucky winner who\u2019ll take home the company\u2019s newly launched and highly-rated R5 camera along with the lens.<\/p>\n

\u2022 Viewers can vote for their favorite photograph from February 8th to February 28th 2022, shortlisted entries are currently being exhibited at Expo 2020\u2019s sustainability pavilion and are also available to view at Canon\u2019s official Facebook page here https:\/\/bit.ly\/3rz8BxB<\/p>\n

MOMENTS THAT MATTER: THE COMPETITION<\/strong>
\nThe competition is part of Expo\u2019s series of interactive events and programs to promote the power of imagery to capture, preserve and share with the world some of the most inspiring transformative ideas showcased at the exhibition. Canon\u2019s interactive events and programs align with Expo 2020 Dubai\u2019s pillars of Opportunity, Mobility and Sustainability with corporate priority platforms of the \u2018Future of the Planet\u2019, the \u2018Future of People in it\u2019 and the \u2018Future of what is Possible\u2019.<\/p>\n

\u2022 Photographers aged 18 and above in the EMEA region were previously asked to submit five images reflecting the ideals of sustainability across these categories: \u2018Moments that make us\u2019 (Environment), \u2018Moments that heal us\u2019 (Human), \u2018Moments that save us\u2019 (Social) and \u2018Moments that develop us\u2019 (Economic).<\/p>\n
